Classification of Brake System

Function of Braking System: i.                    Within the shortest possible time to stop the vehicle. ii.                  To aid in controlling speed. iii.               To help turning in crowded place. iv.               To hold the vehicle stationary in the presence of operator after it has been brought into rest.  Classification of Brakes: There are two types of brakes and they are a.       Service brake: Service brake also known as a hydraulic brake. b.       Parking Brake: Parking brake is also   known as a mechanical brake. 

What are the Factors for effecting brake System?

Factors effecting braking: 1.      Number of wheel braking. 2.      Weight of the vehicle. 3.      Type of function material. 4.      Friction material of the surface. 5.      Friction of tire. 6.      Surface of road. 7.      Decline/incline road. 8.      Pressure applied.  Main parts of hydraulic braking system: 1.      Master cylinder 2.      Wheel cylinder 3.      Brake lining 4.      Brake mechanism. Master cylinder: Master cylinder is a foot operated hydraulic pump which is used for producing pressure in the system.
