Definition and Characteristics of Aerofoil

What is Aerofil? An aerofoil is the shape of a wing or blade or a sail as near in cross section. An aerofoil shape body moved through fluid processes as an aerodynamics force. The components of the force perpendicular to the direction of the motion is called lift Force . The components of force is parallel to the direction of motion of fluid is called drag Force . Subsonic flight aerofoil have a characteristics shape with a rounded leading edge following by a sharp trailling edge often with symmetric chamber. Foils of similar function designed with water as the working fluids are called hydrofoils.   Aerofoil is a steam line body. It moves through a fluid produces a aerodynamic force so that a body whose surface coinsides with stream lines when placed in a flow is called an aerofoil or airfoil or a stream line body. The geometry of an aerofoil is described by   the characteristics named as a.       Leading edge. b.       Trailing edge
